Spotify Wrapped 2022: How to find your playlist, favorite songs

New this year, Spotify Wrapped gives users a “listening personality” based on your streaming habits in 2022.

WASHINGTON — The Spotify Wrapped recap for 2022 was announced on Wednesday, with Bad Bunny continuing to reign as the year’s most streamed artist on Spotify.

The Puerto Rican superstar has now held the top spot on Spotify for three years in a row. Rounding out the global top 5 are Taylor Swift, Drake, The Weeknd and BTS.

For the US, the most streamed Spotify artists of the year were Drake, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Kanye West, and The Weeknd.

Spotify’s annual Wrapped feature also gives users a personalized summary of the artists, songs, and albums they’ve listened to the most in 2022.

How to find your 2022 Spotify Wrapped

To access your personalized compilation, open your Spotify app on your mobile device. On the home screen, you’ll see a button that says “Your 2022 Wrapped is here.”

This prompt takes you through an Instagram Story-style slideshow of your top artists, songs, genres, podcasts, and other lists, including “listening personalities.” There are 16 different options including “Adventurer”, “Early Adopter”, and “Nomad”.

You’ll also be able to see stats like how many minutes you’ve spent listening to music and your streaming habits compared to other fans of your top artists.

As part of Spotify Wrapped, you can also listen to personalized playlists of “your favorite songs this year”.

On Tuesday, Apple Music shared its year-end playlist and crowned “Stay,” the hit hit by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber as the #1 song for 2022. Bad Bunny is also Art. Apple Music Artist of the Year and his latest album, “Un Verano Sin Ti,” is the most streamed album of 2022 and the biggest Latin album of all time.
