Stephen A. Smith attacks Dan Le Batard: Who the hell are you?!!
Dan Le Batard sat down with Stephen A. Smith on Le Batard’s podcast South Beach Sessions, where he accused Smith of ruining sports television.
“You can say that all you want,” Smith said. “I would say, ‘Who the hell are you? “To sit up there and say me and him. What about you? Where the heck were you? Living under a rock? Teaching at Miami U? You were there too! You are not innocent!”
Smith also tweeted his frustration to his fans.
“‘Observable, loud, ostentatious, bombastic, not good for TV’… I’ve been called everything. Hell ESPN fired me for this!” Smith wrote on Twitter.
In a separate tweet, he added: “What were the shows doing before Skip Bayless brought me to First Take in 2012? To whisper? mumbling???”
In response to the tweet, fans sided with Smith:
“Impartiality aside, if we’re honest, Stephen A paved the way for many sports media personalities in the world today. What he and Skip did with First Take really inspired a lot of people to start their own thing. His attitudes may be rubbish but we can’t deny his impact,” one fan wrote.
