Strictly Come Dancing’s Nikita Kanda reveals the brutal nickname Gorka Marquez gives her during training

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Nikita Kanda has revealed the brutal nickname given to her professional partner Gorka Marquez.
The 28-year-old radio presenter and 33-year-old Gorka made it to this week on Sunday night after finding themselves in the Dance Off.
But despite their close shave, the pair were in good spirits during an appearance on spin-off show Strictly: It Takes Two on Tuesday night.
Nikita and Gorka even revealed the cheeky nickname he gave her to BBC Two show host Fleur East.
Gorka was telling Fleur how Nikita was giggling during training when Nikita asked him, “What do you call my laugh?”
Gorka replied: “Peppa Pig is laughing.”
Nikita explained, “Yes…sometimes I snort when I laugh.”
Spanish dancer Gorka then demonstrated her snorting before saying: “When she does that I call her Nikita Pig. And I’m her partner George Pig.”
Fleur began to giggle before saying, “Um, it’s all love. I’m sure it’s all love…!”
As if on cue, Nikita then let out a “Peppa Pig” laugh.
This weekend the celebrities and their partners are taking part in Movie Week.
Nikita and Gorka have announced that they will be performing a jive to Kim Wilde’s “Kids In America” from the ’90s teen film Clueless.
“I’m a little nervous,” Nikita admitted to Fleur.
“I think it’s even faster than the Charleston, so it’s definitely a matter of working on the footwork. I know.” [Craig Revel Horwood] will keep an eye on these feet.
“It’s about getting the right feet and the right time to do it.”
Gorka added: “This dance is very fast. The leg movements, kicks and flicks… there’s a lot of that.”
Nikita and Gorka competed against Les Dennis and Nancy Xui in the dance off, but were saved by the judges.
