Strictly Come Dancing runner-up John Whaite gave his thoughts on who could win this year’s trophy.

The baker, who won Season 3 of The Great British Bake Off, was part of the first male same-sex pairing on the show, along with professional dancer Johannes Radebe.

“I’m excited for them, I think Angela Rippon will be amazing,” Whaite said of the upcoming series.

“Layton [Williams]… This kid is a star, darling. I can’t wait to see what he does… I’ll be watching every week.”
