During a 3-month ultrasound, the day after the family announced Sue was pregnant, doctors could not find their son’s heartbeat.

In a post on InstagramSue shared a photo of Alfie’s grave, decorated with flowers and teddy bears, writing: “Wonderful birthday to Alfie.

“Nine years ago, you entered this world in silence but perfect in every way.

“We miss you so much and often wonder what you’ll be like and what you’d love to do.

“You will always be our missing heart Alfie, our beautiful boy.”

The tombstone carries a touching message: “We are broken-hearted to lose you, but you are not alone.

“For part we went with you on the day the Lord called to heaven.”

22-year-old mother Sue always finds ways to pay tribute to Alfie when she is away with her family.

During the family’s recent trip to Florida, they wrote “Alfie” in the sand, next to two hearts, as they remembered the boy.

Sue also has two tattoos in memory of Alfie so “everywhere he goes”.

She previously told fans, “So I’ve been getting a lot of messages and comments asking me what the tattoo on my arm is.

“So I thought I’d put up a post to show you guys – the tattoo on my arm is Alfie’s handprint and I also have his footprint on my leg.

“I love that I can always see his little hands imprinted on mine and his little feet go with me wherever I go.”
