Sunny Day Real Estate Announce First Tour in 12 Years

Sunny Day Real Estate has confirmed details of its first tour in 12 years, news revealed exclusively by TURN in January. In addition to previously announced appearances at Riot Fest in Chicago and Furnace Fest in Alabama, the group will hit the road September 13 in Lawrence, Kansas, for a two-stage tour that will conclude December 18. in their hometown of Seattle.

Sunny Day Real Estate core members Jeremy Enigk (vocals, guitar), Dan Hoerner (guitar) and William Goldsmith (drums) will join an unnamed bassist, taking on the role of the current Foo Fighter was Nate Mendel, who wasn’t at the reunion. Sunny Day Real Estate founded in Seattle in 1992 and released extremely influential Sub Pop albums Diary (1994) and colloquial name Pink album (1995), but disbanded amid internal tensions before the second LP hit stores.
