Super Bowl bound: Philadelphia Eagles fans are flying high after NFC Championship win

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The next two weeks will be a mix of excitement and fear as Philadelphia Eagles fans await Super Bowl LVII.
“Everything is going as it should! Hopefully the magic lasts for a few more weeks,” says Northern Liberties’ Rick Clancy, which we all feel.
The city of brotherly love is now home to the NFC Champions. On Sunday night, the celebrations were epic.
“My friends all went out to Broad Street last night to celebrate. I think one of them was on the bars too,” said Lucas Dimayuga.
The biodegradable grease used by Philadelphia police to coat light poles didn’t stop the bravest revelers from trying.
“The energy was incredible, it’s definitely a Philly thing. That’s all I can say,” said Drexel newcomer Amina Ibrahim
Along Boyer Street in East Mount Airy, Jean Miller and Craig Heim’s home is decked out in green and black.
“You don’t know how hard these are to get,” Jean said, pointing to her 8-foot blowup Eagles player.
“To have the Eagles in the Super Bowl is incredible and our small part of it is just our neighborhood contribution,” Craig said.
The sense of neighborhood throughout Philadelphia is a little stronger today. Our bond behind a common goal has been strengthened.
“It brings out the whole spirit of the whole city,” said Kelly Harris.
