After singing the star-winning song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ with ‘X Factor’ star Lucie Jones, she told presenters Ant and Dec of her fears that her illness may have prevented her from ‘never to perform again”.

Susan admitted she suffered a mild stroke last April.

She wondered if she could ever sing again.

The 62-year-old told the audience: “It feels great.” [to be back] – It’s very special for me because last April I suffered a minor stroke.

“And I thought I wasn’t going to come back on stage and I did.”

It is believed to be Susan’s first appearance since her secret health battle.

Show judge Simon Cowell thanked her for her return to the stage and stressed that the show owes a lot to the Scottish star.

He admitted that he was aware of Susan’s health and was amazed by her absolutely perfect performance.

Susan’s appearance on the show was kept top secret for tonight’s finale.

She joined the cast of Les Mis for a stunning live performance.

Comedian Viggo Venn won the competition with a surprising result.

Ant asked a surprised Viggo how he was feeling and that he had “won the hearts of the nation,” and Viggo joked he had won Simon’s heart too.
