Sylvester Stallone Becomes A Superhero In Amazon Prime’s ‘Samaritan’

Sylvester Stallone might not be who you think of when someone says superhero. The word has become so synonymous with Marvel or DC that it’s almost hard to imagine anything else. However, Amazon Prime is testing the limits with its film “Samaritan”.

Stallone plays the titular protagonist, a retired superhero who now lives quietly as a garbage man after a dark crime-fighting past. However, as the city continues to fall in ruins and with the help of a young boy helping to rediscover who Samaritan is, he will rise to the call again and save his city.

The trailer has already racked up over two million views in just 2 days and viewers are shocked at how good it looks.

Viewers reacted to the trailer by saying: “He looks amazing for his age. This movie looks really good!”, “Get goosebumps, this looks promising and yes Sylvester is still killing it while he’s entitled to a senior discount, cheers”, “This looks badass. Old man Stallone doesn’t disappoint.”, “What an icon this guy is! Along with Arnie and all the other action stars of the 80’s he will always be one of the greatest movie stars of all time!’ ‘I never realized until now how much I wanted a Stallone superhero movie. Great!’, ‘Sylvester Stallone is the embodiment of ‘age is just a number’. It’s amazing to see him still in roles like this at 76 and the film looks like a really refreshing take on the superhero genre.” and “I’m impressed and hope we get a physical release. This looks like it should be in theaters.”

There is no doubt that this will not disappoint. A living legend, Stallone continues to create funny films that may not win an Oscar but will always be entertaining and exciting.

Amazon Prime’s Samaritan will be released next month on August 26th.
