Taiwan’s Parade of Visitors Continues With Indiana Governor

TAIPEI—Taiwan hosted the first incumbent U.S. governor in nearly three years on Monday when Indiana was held Eric Holcomb Meeting in Taipei with the island’s president, the latest in a string of visits by US officials amid simmering tensions with China.

Mr. Holcomb, a Republican, carefully avoided commenting on Taipei’s frictions with Beijing, which claims Taiwan is part of China, and military drills with sharpening in response to previous visits by US lawmakers, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi carried out firearm.
