Taz and The Iron Giant join MultiVersus, with an Open Beta coming in July

WB Games today unleashed a wave of news regarding its upcoming platform fighter. MultiVersus, which shows that people like Bugs Bunny are covering for Wonder Woman, will have an Open Beta this July. This followed news of a closed Alpha, which began in just a few days. We also received information about some new characters. Taz, Velma and the Iron Giant will throw down as part of MultiVersus assignment table.

Indeed, it’s a bunch of new information, paired with a cinematic trailer (which also serves as an announcement trailer for new fighters). If, in your wildest imagination, you want to see Batman and Shaggy team up against Bugs and Arya Stark, the trailer will satisfy your feverish, bizarre dreams. Many other characters also make an appearance, with the aforementioned trio just touching down near the end. Developer Player First Games is clearly still working on that Shaggy meme, right?

Familiar characters are brought to life with familiar voices. Many of the fighters in the game are matched with their voice actors. Kevin Conroy returns as Batman, John DiMaggio returns as Jake the Dog, and it looks like Michaela Dietz will return as the indomitable Garnet. Taz is voiced by Jim Cummings in MultiVersuswhile Kate Micucci took on the role of Velma, as she was in Be cool, Scooby Doo!

There are still many gaps in the list

After the Alpha phase closed, MultiVersus There will be an Open Beta. Unfortunately, we don’t know much other than its starting month in July. There should be plenty of time for fighting game fans to hone their skills ahead of the EVO 2022 grand slam. Before that, however, Closed Alpha will run from May 19 to May 27. Time to register before starting.
