WASHINGTON — Tech industry representatives will come to Capitol Hill this week to warn that the remote working trend will lead to many cuts in software developer and other tech jobs unless the United States The United States accepts more skilled immigrants.

Remote employment in the tech sector grew by more than 420% between January 2020 and last month, growth accelerated by the pandemic, according to a review of employment data by Tecna, a trade group for regional technology councils.
