Tesco is making a big change to 700 stores – and that’s good news for pastry aficionados.
Shoppers will be offered a fresher baking experience with the introduction of some limited edition specialty bakery products and sweets.
The supermarket redesigned its bakery lineup in-store and launched 20 new product lines, including six limited edition products.
This exciting new product will be rolled out to 700 Tesco bakeries this month.
As part of the revamp, supermarkets will also include nutritional information on packaging, such as calorie content and recommended daily intake.

Tesco Lead Product Development Manager Sarah Donovan said: “Times are changing in the baking world and we are seeing the emergence of a new, adventurous type of shopper. , who are eager to try more premium handcrafted breads and sweets.
“But we don’t believe shoppers have to pay outrageous prices for handmade bakery items, which is why we’re launching a new range of excellent quality baked goods. day at the store.”
The supermarket chain recently made some other big changes, announcing a 30-product discount across 800 stores.
And savvy shopper Kathryn Leech known on TikTok as @katsaves appreciates the competitive prices as she makes seven recommendations that it’s always cheaper in Tesco than in other supermarkets.
Tesco isn’t the only one making major changes, this week Marks and Spencer announced that they will be removing the shelf life from their milk.
Morrisons was one of the first retailers to remove the shelf life on milk in January 2022, much to the chagrin of shoppers.
