That’s So Raven’s Anneliese van der Pol recalls serving Ashley Tisdale during her waitress performance
“She was so uncomfortable,” the former Disney co-star claimed on the first episode of her and Christy Carlson Romano’s new podcast, Big Name Bitches.
That’s how Raven star Anneliese van der Pol says she once had to serve a fellow Disney Ashley Tisdale in a restaurant while working as a waitress.
In the premiere episode of her and Even Stevens alum Christy Carlson Romanos new podcast, Big name slutsthe 38-year-old actress recalled her alleged encounter with the High School Musical Star said Tisdale “felt so uncomfortable” waiting for her.

“I remember meeting Ashley Tisdale once and having to wait on Ashley Tisdale,” van der Pol said to Romano, who replied, “Oh my god, are you kidding me?!”
“I want to say that she was lovely, but…” van der Pol continued, noting that Tisdale “didn’t do anything, but she made me uncomfortable.”
Romano said she gave her co-host “the fattest f***ing tip,” after which the Raven’s home Star replied, “Well, you would have said, ‘Oh my god! Hello!’ She was so uncomfortable. …I’m fine, girl!”
Romano chimed in, sharing her thoughts on Tisdale: “I grew up with Ashley. I don’t know her anymore.”
“Those younger kids who came after us with Disney. God loves her but I think we’re tougher,” added Romano, 39, of Tisdale, 38.

van der Pol starred in the Disney Channel series That’s how Ravenwhich ran from 2003 to 2007. She reprized her role as Chelsea Daniels in the spin-off series Raven’s homein which she appeared for four seasons until last year.
On the podcast, the Broadway star didn’t reveal when she allegedly met Tisdale and when she worked in the restaurant industry. However, Van der Pol said she has worked at “several” New York City restaurants, including Salvation Burger, Salvation Taco, and Tavern on the Green.
“I was really proud of myself. You had to multitask a lot,” she recalls, adding, “But the disappointment, the looks, the distorted faces when…” [people would] recognizing me was really heartbreaking.
She continued, “It’s almost like I have to say I’m fine. Actually, I’m really glad I don’t have to audition and do something that I know I’m good at. I know when I’m cleaning.” I can reserve a table or bring a meal so I can do that and there will be no mistakes. I am not judged. Basically, I was sort of judged.”
Like van der Pol and Tisdale, Romano is a Disney Channel graduate and appears in the series Even Stevens as well as the voice of the title character in the animated series Kim Possible.
Romano and van der Pol’s first episode of Big name sluts appeared a day after the release of the trailer above.
