So if you don’t want anything sticky, grab a pen and paper…

In a clip shared on TikTok (@ayadesign), she begins: “Things that make your home look cheap…”

While artificial flowers never wither and are long-lasting, making them a great option for busy homeowners, Aya isn’t a fan of them.

In fact, she warns that opting for a fake over a real one can make your home look cheap.

Next on Aya’s list of things to avoid are wall stickers.

There is no denying that they are a great option for anyone looking to remodel a kid’s room on a budget.

But according to Aya, while they’re cheap, they’re far from cheerful.

She then urges people to take action to try and hide loose TV cables.

Another no-go for interior design are small murals and small carpets.

The video has since gone viral, racking up 1.9 million views and multiple comments – with very mixed reactions.

“Why? I have a small rug. Love it, it’s not cheap at all,” wrote one.

A second wrote: “Small rugs don’t make your home cheap!”

A third commented: “Small wall art? Really, no!”
