Puss in Boots: The Last Wish opened in theaters on December 13, 2022. The animated film was added to Netflix in July 2023 and jumped straight to the top of the Netflix top 10 upon its release on the streaming service.
The film is actually the sixth Shrek Movies, and it’s the sequel to Puss in Boots, which premiered in 2011.
In the film, Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) only has one life left. Needing to get his eight lives back before it’s too late, he joins Kitty (Salma Hayek Pinault) and Perrito (Harvey Guillén) in his quest to find the mythical “last wish” to save his life.
