The London event was set to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Music in Secondary Schools Trust charity.

MiSST works with UK schools to help 7th to 9th graders learn instruments.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber program has provided tens of thousands of children across the country with a musical education they might not have received otherwise.

Concert-goers were treated to a performance of “Any Dream Will Do” from the musical “Joseph,” with a special guest appearance from Jason Donovan, who dominated the role in the ’90s.

The event took place at the Theater Royal Drury Lane and included music by classical, jazz and film composers.

It was attended by more than 250 students from across the country who were selected by their schools to represent the MiSST program.

Andrew, 75, escorted the students onto the stage for a performance and delivered a rousing speech about the importance of classical music.

All money raised that evening will benefit support to MiSST partner schools as part of the Andrew Lloyd Webber programme.
