Just when we thought the Bachelorette drama couldn’t get any crazier, a rose ceremony really caught one of the contestants. Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey had to determine who would be the men who would move on and then go with them to their hometowns. This part of the show is always tense, but we’ve never seen anything like it.

The Bachelorette: This Season’s Drama

This season of The Bachelorette wasn’t like any other for a number of reasons. One reason is that there are two women trying to find love and they decided to put the men in two different teams to see who will end up finding love. The teams endured quite a bit and Gabby had to send one of her suitors home and then Rachel’s team got a surprise like no other!

The Bachelorette: Forgive hometown roses and excitement for suitors

Gabby ended up on a single date with Nate and she has some concerns about him. She knows he’s a father and she’s not sure what to make of it. The worries she has have grown and she has turned to her past as a child with a single mother to try and think of Nate’s young daughter. She actually mentioned that she was “scared” to get to know his daughter better.

Gabby loves spending time with Nate but told the cameras: “I’m going back and forth about becoming a mom and that’s something I haven’t quite figured out yet. It just seems so complicated.” She feels like she has a lot more work to do to grow up, and ended up saying goodbye to Nate. She told him: “I never want to say goodbye, but I think we’re in two different places in our lives. It’s not you, it’s me.” Nate accepted her decision.

Rachel’s one-on-one date was with Zach and viewers have seen him as the front runner since day one. She’s had another date with him before and they seem to have great chemistry. He told cameras that Rachel “gives me butterflies.”

He was very eager to win her over so he could move on to dating in his hometown. He opened up to Rachel, telling her, “A few years ago I was about 85 pounds more than I am now, severely overweight.” They both talked about how therapy had helped them through difficult times, and Rachel was glad he did wanted to open up to her.

Zach then tells Rachel that he is falling in love with her. She gave him a kiss and the date rose and they looked so happy together.

As the rose ceremony approached, all the men were quite nervous because going to their hometown is quite a big step. Gabby had three roses and Rachel had two. Gabby finally decided on Erich, Jason and Johnny. Rachel gave Aven and Tino a rose and Zach and Tyler were already saved.
