The big mistakes you’re making on the plane that will make cabin crew hate you

A FORMER flight attendant has exposed the unpopular mistakes passengers make on board an airplane.

Former flight attendant Paul Alpant Reavey has explained what passenger actions anger cabin crew, and it’s not good news for anyone who likes an in-flight nap or stretch.

Sneaky drinks

Paul said: “Don’t drink too much and ask the crew for more drinks and then ask another crew if they say no – do you think we’re not talking?”

stretch out

Paul, known as Mr Plane Guy, also didn’t appreciate passengers spending time on the plane doing yoga or stretching.

He said: “People start stretching and doing aerobics in the galley when we’re trying to work in a small, cramped galley/kitchen area.

“We don’t want to organize and hand out drinks and food for 200-300 passengers while 42C is doing legs, butt and abs.”

stack trays

You might think that stacking the airplane food trays at the end of a meal is helpful, but it actually means more work for the crew.

While you may appear to be helpful, it actually means more work for the cabin crew – and more chaos, too.

Paul said, “Would you take your plate to the restaurant kitchen? People act really weird on a plane!”

Be friendly

Above all, Paul encouraged passengers to be kind to cabin crew members, as people often moan and argue over the slightest inconvenience.

He said: “Be nice, 2022 was terrible for airline workers, the sudden surge in demand coupled with poor staffing levels resulted in huge queues across airports and not enough crew on flights.

“Travel can be stressful anyway, but don’t take it out on the people who have come to take you on vacation.”

Meanwhile, flight attendant Tommy Cimato has revealed five things you should never do on a plane — including leaning against the windows.

He also advised passengers not to wear shorts on the plane as it could be pretty gross.

One drink you should never order if you don’t want to upset the cabin crew is a Diet Coke.
