The ‘bougiest’ off-grid staycation in the UK countryside – with private hot tubs, saunas and lake views

WOMEN rave about a very chic hotel in the UK countryside, totally cut off from city life.
ÖÖD Hötels was founded by the Estonian brothers Jaak and Andreas and is represented all over the world – including in the USA, Mexico, Norway and the Netherlands.
Also in the UK, the hotel is situated in Kirtlington Park in Oxfordshire which is just 8 km (5 miles) from Bicester Village and is covered in dense woodland.
There are seven cabins available to guests, some with outdoor baths, hot tubs, and even saunas.
Each cabin also receives a free breakfast in the morning and has a grill that you can grill on yourself.
But be warned: there are no televisions, meaning you’ll have to entertain yourself throughout your stay.
What makes it one of the most unusual glamping experiences in the country is the fact that each hut has a glass facade – so you can see outside while other people can only see themselves in the mirror.
Room rates at the hotel start from £295 per night.
But it’s also the perfect place to go bougie glamping with your friends and enjoy the trails, lake and nearby pubs in Kirtlington.
The Oxford Arms is only a 20 minute walk away and for those who don’t want to walk the distance it is only a three minute drive down the road.
The pub is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but offers food such as pizza for £12.50 and burgers for £14 and a cheaper children’s menu.
Beers are now available from £3.90 and bottles of wine from £19.
There is also much to discover in the area, for example the Church of St. Mary of the Virgin which dates back to the 12th century.
And for those looking for an activity rather than sightseeing, Kirtlington has one golf clubwhere people can try their luck on the driving range.
If you miss the hustle and bustle of a city you can drive 13 minutes down the road to Bicester Village where there is plenty to do including a visit to the Sky Wave Gin for £24 per person.
Or you can spend an evening outside The Angel Pubwhich features an outdoor barn that houses The Pizza Boys pop-up restaurant.
South of Kirtlington is Oxford which you can visit The Ashmolean Museum of art and archeology for free, or there is one nearby Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.
Across social media, people are raving about the ÖÖD Hötels experience, including a TikTok user who revealed the chic campsite and said: “These greenhouses are originally from Estonia.
“Reflective glass allows you to see outside without anyone looking inside. Tell me this isn’t the most elegant way of glamping.”
People were quick to comment, with one person saying: “I live in Oxfordshire and have never heard of them! Looks great!”
Fariha, @dinewithfari, replied: “It’s brand new, they opened to the public this week! Nice addition.”
Another said: “This is my dream house.”

And those who have experienced it themselves have also left rave reviews. One person commented, “An experience to remember for a lifetime. Simply AMAZING!”
Another shared: “Just stunning! Totally unique and amazing experience. Everything you need for a little off-grid life.”
