The brand new city beach that’s opened this summer – with deck chairs, fish & chip stall and adult-only sessions
A NEW urban beach has opened in the UK – and it has everything you could possibly need.
Named Walthomstow-on-Sea, the tiny beach is on the Big Penny Social in London.

Guests can grab a lounge chair, find a spot on the sand, and send a “postcard” from vacation.
There are cocktails and beers as well as ice cream and classic fish and chips.
You can even rent private beach huts if you want more space.
Parents can make the most of the family-friendly daytime activities with beach games and parties.
However, adults can also stay longer and enjoy the adult-only sessions.
This includes DJs and dating Events starting from 6:30pm although the beach is open until midnight.

“In Walthamstow-on-Sea you can feel the sand beneath your feet while sipping an ice-cold draft beer or frozen Cocktail, enjoy a classic flake soft serve or of course, sit down on the beach with some fish and chips at Penny’s – our chippy on the beach!”
It’s just £2.20 for the children’s play sessions, or pay £5.50 for a weekend session of beach parties and games.
People on social media are raving about the new beach.
One person wrote: “I don’t know where I’ve been all these years but it was also my first time on @bigpennysocial and it was BEAUTIFUL!”
Another wrote: “What a fabulous beach in London.”
Another mum praised the beach, saying there were “plenty of sand toys” for kids and saying it was “super chilled”.
If you want to stop by, you have to be quick, because it’s only open until the beginning of September.
