A TRAVEL expert has revealed the common travel item that passengers should never use on flights.
Headphones make it easier than ever to have a conversation on a plane, but not all are suitable for air travel.

At the top of that list are the AirPods, which some say should be kept in their cases when flying.
Family travelers, the Adventure Buddies (@theadventurebuddies) share travel advice and information on their Tiktok account.
In a recent video, they claimed that it’s too easy to lose or damage AirPods while flying.
Instead, they recommend wearing over-ear headphones, which they say offer several benefits.
In the videoThey said, “Please don’t wear your AirPods on your next flight. Let’s dive deeper into why that is and what better option you find when traveling.”
“Don’t get me wrong, AirPods are awesome, they’re great for noise cancellation and they’re comfortable etc., but when you’re on a plane these often get lost in the seat cracks.”
“This happens especially when you fall asleep and you don’t want to lose them on the plane.”
“Even worse, some were crushed by people as they walked through the plane and the airpod fell to the ground.
“So instead of buying the AirPods, we recommend getting a nice pair of over-ear headphones.”
“They’re fantastic for noise cancellation, they’re comfortable and they don’t fall off when you fall asleep.”
The video has been viewed more than 200,000 times since it was released, and many people have reported problems with their AirPods on flights.
One wrote: “I lost mine on the plane.”
Another said: “I had the worst flight ever. I dropped my Airpods on the floor and people stepped on them.”
A third added: “Luckily the passenger in front of me got it for me but on the plane it fell out of my ear and rolled down the aisle.”
A user offered another easy way to make sure their AirPods don’t get lost during a flight.
They said, “I have wired AirPods and I don’t fall asleep on 2-hour flights, so I’ll take them anyway.”
The Adventure Buddies agreed it was a good idea and replied, “Yes, the wired ones work!”
