‘The Equalizer’ Season 2 Finale Recap: [Spoiler] Kidnapped In Closer

Popular Thoughts on CBS’ Equalizer that Robyn McCall is too hard to beat because she was at the CIA and Mel and Harry always had her back.
The fascinating thing about Sunday night’s Season 2 finale, and the message that continued to creep in after Bishop was murdered, was that no one was safe. This is especially true when every time Robyn tries to take down Quinn, she puts her own life and those around her in jeopardy.
For example, when Carter brought in Quinn’s Delgado Cuban connection for questioning, there was a moment where Robyn seemed to have been shot. Thankfully, she didn’t, and the mock shooting was done to get Delgado to reveal the diabolical plan Quinn had plotted to him. Of course, it works and Carter, Robyn, and the CIA learn Quinn is planning to drop a dirty bomb somewhere in New York. Carter even convinced Robyn to temporarily return to the CIA to head the task force that stopped Quinn’s bombing.
Robyn was just about to tell Aunt Vi and Delilah about this, and why it kept her away from them, when a black SUV T-shaped crashed into the side of Robyn’s car. A group of men then jumped out of the truck, snatched Robyn from her car, put on a hood, and kidnapped her. Aunt Vi and Delilah screamed in horror for Robyn, but it was too late. She’s gone and Quinn is likely behind the whole thing.
Not only is this scary for the two people who love and care for Robyn the most, but it’s also tragic because Delilah and Robyn have turned a corner in their relationship. Delilah’s best friend Vera became the victim of cyberbullying over pornography. Her petty and vindictive ex-boyfriend had texted the whole school a nude photo of her, and it was so embarrassing that she contemplated suicide.
After hesitating, Delilah turned to her mother for help, and Robyn’s security team, Mel and Harry, fought hard to remove the photo from the internet and make a fresh start for Vera. In the end, the girl made it clear to her parents about texting the photo to the boy instead of having sex with him, and this allowed them to press charges. That’s when Dante stepped up and caught the boy in front of everyone at school and turned the tables.
Delilah, meanwhile, not only convinces Vera to step off the ledge and hit back, but also defends Vera from her classmates’ mockery and reminds them they could be next. The students gathered around Vera and suddenly, Delilah understood Robyn, and realized how great it was to help people in need who couldn’t rely on traditional methods to save time.
Now that Robyn’s life is in danger, Delilah may have become too scared to fight the good fight. Lucky for the fans, Equalizer has been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4, so we all know Robyn will save himself or be rescued – we just have to wait and see how.
