SEATTLE — One of the most watched TV sitcoms of all time is coming to Seattle.

Although “Friends” ended its 10 seasons in 2004, fans continue to watch the show, purchase merchandise, and quote characters to this day.

The popularity has led to the creation of a touring experience that has taken place successfully in New York, Chicago, and several other major cities. Originally created to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary, fans can watch many of their favorite show moments and relive the series.

The “Friends Experience” has plenty of nostalgic and full-size scenes like Monica’s Kitchen, Chandler and Joey’s apartment and of course the Central Perk Cafe. This interactive experience was created by Original X Productions and co-president Stacy Moscatelli said, “we spent a lot of time asking fans what they wanted from the Experience, and we have it all here.”

This experience has taken over the bottom corner of Pacific Place Mall in Seattle, where Barnes & Noble has stood for decades. The former bookstore is now a cafe-themed attraction with many interactive rooms, displays of used props like signed scripts, and lots of behind-the-scenes fun from people who have Create iconic shows.

Some highlights of a familiar experience include peeking through Rachel and Monica’s purple door, relaxing in Chandler and Joey’s recliner by the snooker table (the chirping sound), or helping Ross turn the chair around. famous sofa. Tickets are on sale right now. The Friends Experience will be open Thursday through Sunday and some Mondays and Wednesdays through April 30. Walking tickets are available and organizers provide timed tickets to help ensure social distancing.
