The latest update for Deathloop finally adds a photo mode

After a long wait, Arkane Studio’s newest title Deathloop Finally there is the photo mode. It’s shown off in full glory in the latest trailer for the game’s third update. With this, players can end up snapping some of the nicer locations in the game. If you’ve always wanted to show your artistic side kicking enemies off the roof, now you can.

Photo modes aren’t anything new at this point, and most of us can probably guess how they work. We’ve had in-game photo modes for a decade. So if you’ve used it before, you’ll likely know exactly what to expect here. That being said, this is a really cool addition to a game of its own.

A whole new meaning for “killshot”

DeathloopPhoto mode lets you freeze the game and line up perfect shots. All you need to do is pause the game and select ‘Picture Mode’ in the menu. If you have just defeated the boss and want to take a photo as a souvenir, this is your chance. And if you want to capture the beauty of Blackreef, you can do that too. You have full control over the camera, as well as some settings like blur, focus, offset, and rotate.

Photo mode also allows you to pose Colt and Julianna in different ways. Since games often take place in first person, it’s much easier to put them in the perfect spot. There are also a ton of different overlay effects you can add to these images, from simple black and white filters to various stickers and frames.

Deathloop photo mode

The trailer shows how much fun you can have with the mode, with lots of example images highlighting the dullness of the game. Deathloop is also a very good game, so players can also use this game to show that. It certainly looks like a feature-rich photo mode, so it will be interesting to see what players come up with.
