The Little Mermaid PREMIERE… Everyone looked amazing!! (Halle, Kelly Rowland & daughter, Cardi B’s girls)
Last night was the Hollywood premiere of the new Disney film The Little Mermaid starring Halle Baily and a mainly black cast. The stars were out for the premiere, most of whom looked amazing.
Halle Bailey is making waves as the star of The Little Mermaid reboot, and she’s been open about audiences finally getting to see her as Ariel on the big screen.
“This moment means everything to me, I’m so thankful to be here,” she told reporters. “I’m just very honored and excited that the day has finally come when we can all see it.”
The live-action film has been released, and so far, reactions to Halle’s performance as Ariel have been consistently good. For Halle, the cultural impact the film will have on young people of color is important and something she experienced growing up.
