Celebrities are used to traveling in luxury, but when it comes to yachts, they take their lavish lifestyle to another level.

From fashion designers to children’s book authors, these celebrities own the world’s most expensive superyachts.

Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is just one of the celebs who love a luxury vacation on a yacht.

Earlier this year he was spotted crossing the Mediterranean and Atlantic with models and TV stars by his side, including Love Island beauty Arabella Chi and British catwalk queen Neelam Gill.

Now a study by yacht charter experts Ritzy Charters has revealed the most expensive celebrity yachts from some big names.

The Rising Sun owned by David Geffen

American producer, Movie Studio head and all-round businessman David Geffen bought his superyacht in 2010.

He reportedly paid $200 million (£162 million) for the boat, which is now said to be worth $590 million (£476 million).

The yacht is 139 m long and has a top speed of 34 miles per hour.

It has 82 rooms on board that can accommodate 18 guests and 55 crew members.

But with one basketball Court, Wine Basement, cinema, helipad, spa and swimming pool, the rooms are the least impressive feature.

The yacht has welcomed several famous faces over the years, including DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Julia Roberts, Steven Spielberg and Barack Obama.

American businessman Jeff Bezos owns the world’s second most expensive celebrity yacht, worth around $500 million (£403 million).

Superyacht Koru, also known as Y721, is considered the largest sailing yacht in the world and was built specifically for the businessman.

It can accommodate up to 18 guests who can use the onboard facilities such as the pool, helipad, hot tub and speedboat.

Koru is also rumored to have a submarine on board – but this has not been confirmed.

Celebrity guests who have vacationed on the yacht reportedly include Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.

Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and her businessman husband Barry Diller are the proud owners of Eos.

The couple bought their boat, the third most expensive celebrity-owned yacht, in 2009 for $200 million (£162 million).

At 92 m long, Eos can reach speeds of up to 29 km/h and can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests.

Onboard facilities include a glass staircase, a 14-foot world map and a hot tub.

Venus owned by Laurene Powell

Laurene Powell, the widow of Apple co-founder Steve JobsHe is the owner of the fourth most expensive celebrity yacht.

Designed by Phillipe Stark, Venus is a $120 million (£97 million) yacht with multiple… luxury characteristics including floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious upper deck.

The yacht can accommodate 12 guests and 22 crew members and can reach a top speed of 18 knots.

American rapper Sean Combs bought Maraya, another expensive yacht, for $65 million (£52 million) over a decade ago.

The ship is 54 m long and offers space for up to 12 guests in its six cabins.

There are several luxury facilities including a hot tub on the sun terrace, a private chef and a gym.

When the rapper isn’t using his own yacht, she can charter it for $300,000 (£242,110) a week.

Main owner Giorgio Armani

Fashion designer Giorgio Armani is the proud owner of the Main – a 65m long superyacht.

The interior was designed by Mr. Armani himself and can comfortably accommodate 14 guests and 14 crew members.

Main is reportedly worth $64 million (£51 million).

Sir Elton John’s yacht, the Wabi Sabi, was built to the singer’s very personal specifications.

The yacht has a bright white color and is often seen by yacht enthusiasts and fans.

Wabi Sabi can accommodate up to 18 guests in its eight luxury cabins and is worth $29.1 million (£23.48).

Elton John has welcomed several celebrity friends to his yacht, including David Walliams and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

It houses many amenities, including an eight-person hot tub and a scuba tank refill station.

The luxury yacht can accommodate ten guests and nine crew members and has a top speed of 20 miles per hour.

The yacht is now said to be worth $22.9 million (£18.48 million) and has amenities such as kayaks, windsurfing boards and a dinghy.

A total of 10 guests can be accommodated in five large bedrooms on board.

When the yacht is not being used by the author and her family, it can be chartered for $90,000 per week.

A spokesman for Ritzy Charters said: “Luxury yachts are more than just a symbol of wealth; Not only do they offer incredibly beautiful views, but they also provide a level of privacy for those on board who want a sense of relaxation that you can’t get anywhere else on ocean charters.”

While most people can’t afford a vacation aboard a superyacht, there are plenty of cruise ships that offer fun alternatives.

The Icon Of The Seas will accommodate 7,600 passengers on its 20 decks and is scheduled to sail from Miami in January.
