The must-buy plane accessory that will change the way you fly

I recently discovered a groundbreaking travel item on a long-haul flight.

On a recent trip to San Diego from the UK, I went straight to my bulkhead seat (which I think is the best).

On previous flights, I’ve made the mistake of relying on the plane’s complimentary headphones.

Not only can they be uncomfortable, but they don’t even work half the time.

And with more Bluetooth headphones coming, those expensive headphones are useless unless you have your cable.

Luckily, I found a miracle device that changed the way I fly.

The AirFly gadget allows you to connect your wireless headphones to the inflight entertainment screen.

I have my favorite £150 Marshall headphones which are noise canceling and so comfortable.

The AirFly accessory connects to the headphone jack.

It then connects to your AirPods or headphones via Bluetooth, so you can use your own throughout the flight.

I managed to comfortably watch a number of movies on a very long flight without having to turn up the volume to drown out the noisy plane engine.

My seat neighbor was intrigued, asked me what it was and said they would get it themselves after I explained.

There’s 20 hours of battery life, but you can still use it while it’s charging.

You can also get an AirFly duo if you want to break up with your partner while you’re watching.

You can get it for £34.99 on Amazon and it’s the best money I’ve ever spent.

One frequent traveler said he even has an old pair of headphones that he always takes with him on flights just to watch movies on them.

She told Insider, “While I typically use Bluetooth headphones or earbuds with a Lightning cable connected to my iPhone, I probably can’t see any movement on the seatback screen on a flight.

“That’s because, in my experience, airlines typically require a traditional aux jack to access the inflight audio for TV shows, movies, and games.”

New airplane seats could eliminate the need for headphones as headrests are said to have built-in speakers.
