The Pope, 86, reveals he LOVES Sylvester Stallone movies as he shadowboxes with Rocky star, 77, in bizarre meeting

POPE Francis revealed he loves Sylvester Stallone’s films as he shook the Rocky star’s hand and they shadowboxed together.

The action film legend took his wife Jennifer Flavin and three daughters, Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet, to meet them at the Apostolic Palace in Vatican City.

Sly’s brother Frank Stallone also accompanied the family at their unusual meeting.

When Pope Francis, 86, was introduced to Sophia, Scarlet and Sistine, he pointed to the ceiling and compared it to the “three Marys” while shaking their hands.

Stallone said: “Thank you for taking time out of your busy day, I really appreciate it.”

The pope responded by saying he was “honored” and told the film star through a translator: “We grew up with your films.”

The Expendables lead actor then joked, “Ready? We box” and held up his fists like he was ready to shadowbox.

In a good mood, Pope Francis also raised his hands in response before laughing.

“It’s so great, I appreciate it so much,” Sly added.

The 77-year-old wrote about the meeting in a post on Instagram with the caption: “Very rare and special moment.”

“I got to own the keys that open every single door in the entire Vatican City! Including the Sistine Chapel.”

“Of course they didn’t let me out of their sight with the keys. I can’t blame them!”

The film icon and his wife Jennifer also noted that they were happy to have named one of their daughters Sistine.

It comes as Stallone was in Italy to promote his Paramount+ show Tulsa King.

In the series, Stallone plays Mafia member Dwight “The General” Manfredi, who went to prison for 25 years to save the family.

After his release, he tries to repair relations but is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma to conduct criminal operations there.
