The popular BBC breakfast star is absent from the show after another reshuffle of presenters

A beloved BBC breakfast star was absent from the show today due to a further reshuffle of presenters.
Jon Kay and Sally Nugent were back on the red sofa at the Salford studio with the latest news News and themes.
However, Carol Kirkwood was nowhere to be seen when it came to the weather updates.
Instead, Sarah Keith-Lucas was on hand to give BBC Breakfast viewers the latest on the temperatures and conditions to expect over the coming year next 24 hours.
This month saw a number of host changes as various members of the team enjoyed some well-deserved time off.
Earlier this month, Sally, 52, was absent for a week while she flew on a girls’ day out to celebrate her birthday, while Elsewhere, Charlie Stayt missed some of his usual performances alongside Naga Munchetty.
Meanwhile, Carol’s fans were unhappy with Naga, 48, last week and accused the journalist of being cruel to the 60-year-old.
On Friday, Carol appeared to have a sore throat and had intermittent problems with her weather report.
Charlie told the star, “Carol, do you have a cup of tea?”
He replied: “Not Charlie yet, but I think I’ll have to get one. I sound very raspy, sorry.”
He told Carol they would give her some time off so she could have a hot cup of coffee.
Naga then gave some advice and told the forecaster to get hot honey and lemon for her voice.
When Carol politely thanked both of them for their concern and suggestion, Naga couldn’t help but deliver a cheeky dig.
Turning to her co-star, she said, “Although Carol thanks her, she’s so polite, we just suggested she get one but we didn’t offer to get one.”
The excavation was noticed by BBC Breakfast viewers at home complaining on social media.
One said: “I can never get enough of Naga’s passive aggressive bitching towards Carol.”
A second wrote: “Naga is very cruel to Christmas carols.” this morning Again, why isn’t she made aware of this?
BBC Breakfast is broadcast daily from 6am BBC One.
