As someone who has strongly identified as an iPhone user for a decade, I knew it would take a lot to impress me. But spoiler alert: the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is incredibly impressive. In fact, if you hang around the online tech space, you’ve probably heard that Android phones have overtaken Apple in, well, everything (although many have been saying this for a while). People say that the customization, storage options, and more recently, the camera quality of an Android device can’t be beat. We’ll get into this later, but the S23 has by far some of the best camera features on the market.
Without further ado, here is my honest review of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, along with in-depth details and specs. If you’re completely sold on this phone, you’re in luck too: it’s on sale at several retailers for Black Friday.
Storage options: 256GB ($1,200), 512GB ($1,380), and 1TB ($1,620)
My test report on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
I tested the S23 Ultra for about two months and tried to get the most out of it, but still I didn’t unlock all the features it offers a lot in terms of customization and what you can do.
As far as functionality goes, it offers lightning speed and lots of storage, which is great for me since I used my phone for work (and took a lot of photos and downloaded a lot of files). As an iPhone user, I was expecting a week-long learning curve, but the phone is super user-friendly and intuitive, from simple things like setting an alarm to using the S Pen to send my husband a shopping list (you can use it also sign documents and edit photos).
What does the S23 Ultra do? Really What stands out from the crowd is its camera, and ultimately that’s what you pay for. The camera quality is second to none – if you’re looking for a phone with the best camera, the S23 Ultra is your best choice. It offers 12 megapixels with the front-facing camera (which is fine, honestly) and 200 megapixels with the rear-facing camera (The is unbelievable). Not only does it take professional-level photos, but there are tons of editing tools available – most of which I haven’t even had a chance to play around with because there are so many of them.
Photos taken with the S23 Ultra
Keep in mind that the photos you see are not nearly as good as they actually are – by sending myself photos to my laptop and then uploading them to StyleCaster.com, I compress the files (which refers to them effects and dissolves them). Quality). It’s difficult to capture how sharp and bright the images actually are – so you’ll have to trust me on this one.

Here’s a photo of a full moon at night: You can see the phone’s zoom capabilities amazingly well.
One of the photography tools shows you exactly what you are zooming in on and aiming at, allowing you to focus and capture the image more accurately. This is what it looks like:
Here’s a photo I took of my husband on Halloween (he was from Carmy). The bear).
It’s really similar to a digital SLR camera (which I actually have) in that you can change shutter speed, aperture, white balance and film speed.
Finally, the phone’s battery life: it lasts about a day and a half without needing to be charged (and it takes about two hours to fully charge – which you can also do wirelessly if necessary). Admittedly, all phones have long battery life when they are first purchased. Whether the battery will still last in a year remains to be seen!
