The shocking truth about sugar hiding in your chocolate cereal – with a bowl nearly as sugary as a bar of Dairy Milk

Is your breakfast a choky horror show?
More than 14 million people eat a bowl of cereal every morning — yet there can be a frightening amount of sugar behind every bite.
Food giant Nestle was recently branded “irresponsible” by ten health campaigners for its “misleading nutritional information” after it launched a KitKat cereal.
While Nestlé insists the claims are “completely unfair”, 100g of KitKat muesli contains 420 calories, 10.9g of fat and 24.7g of sugar – the equivalent of THREE squares of a chocolate bar.
And it’s not the only culprit.
Josh Saunders found the highest sugar chocolate cereal per 100g by equating that amount to cubes from a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk, each containing 7.5g of sugar.
