This summer’s fall of Roe vs. Wade offered Democrats a new playbook for the Nov. 8 midterm election when it comes to winning the Latino vote: pledge to protect abortion rights. It’s a move that contradicts long-held assumptions that Latinos distort socially conservative views and are anti-abortionists rooted in their religious beliefs.
