The View’s Sara Haines believes the rumored romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is a “PR stunt.”

During Monday’s episode of the Behind the table Brian Teta, co-host of “The View” podcast and executive producer of the daytime talk show, recalled that there was a “disagreement” over whether the panel would discuss Swift and Kelce during Monday’s Hot Topics segment or not.

Teta said he wanted to raise the issue because “the whole world [was] in Conversation” about the 33-year-old singer and Kansas City Chiefs player, also 33, according to the former attended his game on Sunday. While Haines said that she and Teta usually have a “vibe,” she is “upset” about the EP as she is firmly against discussing the possible romance between Swift and Kelce because she believes it’s all just that serves the public.

“I can usually find something, but if I don’t care, I’ll let you know,” Haines explained. “It’s a PR stunt, this whole thing, and I just don’t care that much about it because it feels like giving air to a publicity stunt.”

“She doesn’t need more expensive concert tickets that are hard to get,” she added. “She is good. We are well.”

In response, Teta said Haines’ comments were evidence that she “held an opinion that would have been interesting on television.” However, she disagreed.

“The Swifties are just as bad as the Beyhive,” Haines said. “They come for you and it doesn’t matter… if you even hint at them. I don’t like giving off negative energy, I don’t care who she dates, but that’s not because I’m a bad person.”

“But that’s interesting,” Teta replied, to which Haines interrupted, saying, “No, it’s not.”

Haines – who again noted that she believes Swift and Kelce’s alleged relationship is a “publicity stunt” – shared that she isn’t the only co-host who has “no interest” in discussing the topic, and revealed that Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro were also on her side, while Alyssa Farah Griffin was in favor of the issue.

“So Alyssa and I are carrying the ball,” Haines said, sharing how she thought the segment would have sunk. “Alyssa says something and then I say, ‘I really don’t care who Taylor Swift is dating. This is a PR stunt.’ What are we going to do in the next three and a half minutes?”

Teta said she ultimately decided against moving forward with the conversation because the majority of the panel agreed with Haines.

“The moral of the story is that not everyone always agrees, and I made the decision not to cover the issue because several of you felt that way, but I felt there was a public interest,” said Teta to Haines. “You have an opinion, it may not be an opinion that people agree with, it may not be the most positive opinion in the world, but that’s okay, that’s what you do.”

After weeks of dating speculation, Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The Grammy winner not only attended the game, but also watched it with Kelce’s mother, Donna, in her suite. As if that didn’t drive fans crazy enough, Swift and Kelce were also spotted Leave the game together.
