The WB fighter MultiVersus is getting a Closed Alpha, and will be at EVO

If you’ve ever wondered who would win in a brawl between Steven Universe and Arya Stark, you’ve got a week to find out. WB Games’ Weird Platform Fighter MultiVersus There will be Closed Alpha starting May 19th. You can sign up today, and apparently all you need is a WB Games account to do so. But if you’re more interested in watching than playing fighting games, there’s even more news to come. MultiVersus is aiming for EVO 2022, which takes place later this year.

MultiVersus‘Closed Alpha will test the game’s multitude of features. It’s cross-platform, so you’ll enjoy it with PC users as well as on PlayStation and Xbox. Sorry, Switch fan, looks like you’ll be benched this time. MultiVersus there’s also netcode rollback, so no matter what cross-platform you play on, the experience will be buttery smooth. At least, that’s the hope. After all, it is an alpha test. Testing begins May 19 at noon ET and runs through May 27 at 8 p.m. ET.

To register, you need to visit the game’s website. After logging in or creating an account, you can click the link to throw your Batman cowboy in the ring. The MultiVersus Closed Alpha will feature several online modes, such as 2v2, 1-on-1, and four-player free-to-all.

So far, there are 13 characters to choose from. They include Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, Shaggy, Harley Quinn, Batman, Tom and Jerry, and many more. An initial character is Reindog. More characters will be revealed as time goes on.
