He asked on his Facebook page, A Fly Guy’s Crew Network, what are some of the worst things travelers do on a plane.

Jay shared his own mumbo jumbo, and it happens while boarding a plane.

He told MailOnline: “The number one thing a passenger can do to start off on the wrong foot is to avoid eye contact or ignore a simple greeting when I greet them.

“Aside from being rude, it disregards the crew’s role as safety professionals.

“If this plane is on fire and needs to be evacuated, I will risk my life and stay behind to make sure you disembark safely. Or if you get sick, I’ll be by your side and do whatever I can to save your life, and you can’t even acknowledge that I’m standing here saying hello?”

Another flight attendant revealed that they hate it when passengers ask for water upon boarding.

They explained, “Bottom line, we don’t think it’s cute if you stop us from breaking the seals on the water and cups for a single glass of water.”

Sarah Goodwin, a member of Virgin Australia’s cabin crew, also revealed why the crew would want to check your passport upon boarding.

“Actually, we’re looking for the destination, your flight number and the date.”

Though passengers worry about their seats, Sarah makes sure no one ends up wrong at the other end.

“Yeah, and people think it can’t happen, but it definitely does.”

The crew will also verify that you are an “ABP”.

Ex-flight attendant Carrie told The Sun Online: “When passengers board you assess them and see if they are ABP.

“This stands for a disabled passenger, so in case of an emergency and if I need help who to ask.

“At the door, while greeting the passengers and checking their boarding passes, I checked very quickly to make sure they were ok, coherent, could understand me and looked fit and healthy.”

Another flight attendant has revealed three rules of etiquette that all passengers should follow, including who gets to occupy the armrests.
