Tens of thousands of revelers flocked to Glasgow Green today as the gates opened for the TRNSMT festival.

The three-day extravaganza will feature notable artists such as Pulp, George Ezra and Niall Horan.

Spirits were high as music lovers flocked to the Glasgow Green grounds at lunchtime.

Festival-goers adorned themselves in glitter as they sprinted through the entrance.

Others soaked up the atmosphere with Scottish flags draped over their shoulders.

The weather stayed dry as Scottish bands Declan Welsh and The Decadent West took to the main stage.

Declan thanked the fans for their support.

He told the audience: “Thank you for making it early for us.

“The only reason we are on this stage is because of your wonderful people.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

“Glasgow is a city that prides itself on standing up for what is right.

“People make it, we don’t vote for Tories, we protect the weak.

“When Mandela came to Glasgow he thanked us for our support.

“We have a chance to make Glasgow the city it claims to be.

“Are we Gallus or are we afraid?”

We shared that a lead actor was forced to retire due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
