In this way, travelers and vacationers can enjoy their downtime to the full without having to worry about unpleasant smells.

DRYER SHEETS

Anyone who owns a clothes dryer knows that it comes with nice smelling towels known as dryer sheets or fabric softener sheets.

You can put these sheets in your luggage to hide nasty niffs and give your bag a nice fresh smell.

The blogger said: “Dryer towels are made of lubricants, plasticizers and fragrances that make the fabric your luggage box is made of smell like freshly washed laundry.

“When your luggage is exposed to heat, the aromas are released into the surrounding air.

“Remember, you can also use the dryer sheets in serviced apartments or motels to keep the linens smelling fresh and your indoor air smelling fresh.”

PLASTIC BAGS

If you’re packing in a hurry, you might not have the time to clean everything you need before you head out.

Having to select something that isn’t spotlessly clean can create an unpleasant odor in your luggage, and it’s always a good idea to separate dirty items from clean ones.

MightyMamaBear recommends using a “large, zippered plastic bag” whenever possible.

If not, an airtight plastic bag will do.

She said: “Socks and shoes, clean or not, should also be stored in airtight plastic bags.

“Otherwise, your stinky smell of dirty laundry or stinky feet could draw people’s attention.”

VODKA

You might think that vodka is only useful for hitting back at the bar during happy hour, although it also has a lesser-known use.

It can also help remove unpleasant odors from your luggage.

The blogger said: “Fill a spray bottle with vodka (you can mix it with water) and sprinkle liberally over the contents of your luggage, focusing more on the stinky culprits.

“The alcohol solution will help rid your luggage box of the bad odor and kill bacteria that may be causing unpleasant odors.”
