TikToker goes viral for bizarre “life hack” to clean salad in washing machine

A TikTok user has gone viral for his bizarre method of cleaning lettuce before preparing a salad, leaving his followers both shocked and sickeningly curious.

TikTokers have become known for sharing some weird food cooking methods. One user received tons of views for cooking with a can of Pringles, which even brought out famous chef Gordon Ramsay himself.

While this might not fall under the Cooking category, this TikToker has gotten a ton of views for sharing her unusual method of preparing salad for a delicious, albeit slightly soapy, salad.

TikTok is one of the world’s leading social media platforms – and hosts some stunning storytime videos.

User ashleyechols777 garnered over 500,000 views with her polarizing video of her cleaning her vegetables in a washing machine.

In the video, Ashley loads a ton of kale into a washing machine, runs it through a cycle and shows them off after they look greener than ever.

The strange method of cleaning the veggies was dubbed a “lifehack” by Ahsley in the video’s description.

One commenter defended Ashley, saying: “Then they clean the washing machine one more time before using it to clean clothes. It cleans your greens really well just like you think people chill.”

Another user just didn’t feel like it: “You all keep giving us reasons not to participate in potlucks.”

Ashley responded to negative comment in a video, noting that she picked the kale herself and cycled it with vinegar, claiming it was safe.

She ended the video by saying she even threw some carrots in her washing machine to “experiment and see what would happen.”

Despite their explanation, many users don’t seem convinced that this is a great idea.
