TikToker stunned after restaurant receives reservation for 91 people

A waitress has left TikTok completely stunned after claiming her restaurant got a last-minute reservation for a 91-person party, sparking debate on the app.

TikTok is one of the most popular multi-part Storytime video apps.

We shared some of these sagas on Dexerto — just last week a man had to explain the viral video of his ex-girlfriend crying and yelling at him in an airport, which took multiple TikToks to set the record straight.

Now, another shocking tale has been added to the ever-growing annals of TikTok history… and this one sucks, especially for those in the restaurant business.

TikTok is one of the world’s leading social media platforms – and hosts some stunning Storytime videos.

TikToker “ophy” has garnered a staggering 7.8 million views for a video that sends the internet for a loop. In the short clip, she and her fellow waiters are amazed that they have just been given a table for 91 people.

She shows the actual reservation on a computer to make good measure before cutting to a clip of herself and another waitress with the text that reads, “We’re not closing tonight.”

Ophy elaborated on the evening’s events in a follow-up video which has garnered over 1 million views at the time of writing.

According to ophy, guests started coming in from 6pm and didn’t leave until 9pm. The TikToker says she was approached by the group and told there was a “party of 51 coming” – and “40 more” on the way. She says the party was there for a sports tournament.

“I think we ended up seating a whole section and a half or a few sections for that group,” she continued. “In the meantime, we also took other tables with 6, 9, 12 [people].”

Though Ophy isn’t sure what the tip was at the time of her video, she said there were “chocolate macadamia nuts” left on the table, which she described as “super nice” of them.

However, commentators are not impressed by the ordeal.

“They should have hosted at home or something, a reservation of 91 is too much,” wrote one user.

However, Ophy claims her restaurant doesn’t even take reservations, prompting further outrage in the comments.

“If there are no reservations, they should have just called to find out,” said another.

“At this point you could have booked a venue if you had close to 100 people?” another posited.

Ophy’s nightmare as a waitress has gone viral, but it’s far from the first of its kind; Another food-related debacle that took TikTok by storm saw a random man receive free DoorDash orders for several days with no explanation.
