TIPPING Point fans were seriously distracted as they spotted an ‘EastEnders legend’ making her game show debut – but things were not what they seemed.
Good Morning Britain star Ben Shepherd welcomed four new players to the stage again, hoping to win the big cash prize.
And a contestant named Gill quickly took the lead in the latest episode, shocking her competitors and the host.
Fans at home were impressed by how far ahead she was of her rivals, but many were taken aback by her uncanny resemblance to a well-known soap star.
Viewers pointed out that she was the spitting image of Bonnie Langford, who played Carmel Kazemi in EastEnders.
One person took to social media saying: “Bonnie Langford’s a bit smart.”
Another tweeted a photo of the actress with the caption: “Gill!”
Bonnie, 59, has had a case of mistaken identity herself, when Masked Dancer fans were convinced she was Maisie Smith.
During the 2021 series of the ITV show, Squirrel’s slick moves, incredible flexibility and youthful style left viewers convinced it was the young actress behind the costume, but it actually turned out to be Bonnie.
And the star understood why they thought that, as she admitted she “channelled Maisie” and Lady Leshur as she “loved their attitude”.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online following her reveal in the grand final, the star explained after the unmasking she reached out to Maisie to reveal her admiration for her.
“I’ve just been texting her actually because we did EastEnders together,” the Doctor Who actress said. “She’s brilliant and she’s funny.”
Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
