Toddler, 3, rushed to hospital in serious condition after being hit by pick-up truck in Waltham Forest

A three-year-old toddler was taken to hospital in serious condition after being hit by a pickup truck.

Police were called to reports of a collision in Waltham Forest, east London, at 3.39pm on Friday.

The toddler was taken to hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the van stopped at the scene and spoke to Met Police officers who were investigating the accident.

There were no arrests.

A Met spokesman said the toddler was a pedestrian and not a passenger in the truck.

Witnesses or anyone with footage or information is asked to call police on 101 and quote CAD$5,500/08. September to be specified.
