Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker and Chris Paul made for one of the biggest absentees in NBA history, with a disastrous performance in Game 7 against the Dallas Mavericks.
CP3 and “Book” topped the Suns franchise’s best-ever 64 win season until they collapsed in horror in Phoenix’s most important game of the season.
Paul and Booker limped away with a total of 3 points to deliver what some analysts have called one of the biggest stumbling blocks in professional sports. In a win-win situation, the two Phoenix Suns MVP candidates bombed spectacularly after only 24 minutes of play.
Bypass Bayless, Undisputed The co-host, who predicted the Suns would win Game 7 by one match, called out Chris Paul and Devin Booker’s horrifying performance:
“Chris Paul has a point in half. Devin Booker has 2. Together, they are 0-11. It’s horrible. Damage to heritage. ”
Chris Paul, “Spirit Point,” limped off with another disastrous performance in Game 7 when the Phoenix Suns were sent off by the Dallas Mavericks. CP3’s first half numbers were a huge reason why Sun dropped 30 points by the end of the first half.
Paul has one point, missed all four of his shots, with two assists, three fouls and an actual -28 tally in 19 minutes. He was deservedly booed by the home fans at halftime.
Devin Booker was just as bad in the first half. He has saved all seven of his goals, including two three-pointers. “Book” added 1 bounce and a assist in 20 minutes of action. For someone who repeatedly talked trash throughout the season, tonight’s performance will hunt him down until he leads the team to the NBA title.
Faced with the intensity and intense focus of the Mavericks, Chris Paul and Devin Booker withered in an unimaginable and spectacular way. They look out of the ordinary and constantly complain about no calls while trying their best to win next year’s Oscars. CP3 and “Book” were successful for the whole year but disappeared when the Phoenix Suns desperately needed their two superstars.
Chris Paul and Devin Booker vow to return next season for Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns missed the post-season for 10 straight years before Chris Paul shows up in 2020 when he finally leads the team to the NBA Finals. Paul and Devin Booker were also leaders as they made it 2-0 against the Milwaukee Bucks before Giannis Antetokounmpo carried Milwaukee to the championship.
However, having Paul and Booker on next season’s roster doesn’t guarantee a return to the knockout stages, let alone the NBA Finals. Deandre Ayton will be a hot name in the summer and will probably sign with another team. The Sun will also make some important decisions for some of the people who play their most important roles.
More importantly, Chris Paul will be 38 years old and based on what he’s shown in the knockout stages, he could fall even further as the 2022-23 season opens. CP3 has alternated between good and bad matches in this year’s knockouts.
If that’s the trend on next season’s 82-game schedule, the Phoenix Suns will struggle even with Devin Booker around.
