Tom Brady gifts WNBA star Kelsey Plum a signed Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey

Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum has had an exceptional year in the WNBA, with career-high averages in points, assists and field goal percentage. Her breakout season has caught the attention of numerous fans, including Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

After observing her play in person earlier this season, the seven-time Super Bowl champion showed his respect by sending her a gift box of cute gear. Plum posted a video to her Instagram story on Friday showing the content, including a Brady Buccaneers jersey signed by TB12. She also received some TB12 branded products from Brady.

Brady saw the video of Plum’s reaction to the package and responded with a outcry on twitter.

Plum is a self-proclaimed Brady fan, and she made quite an impression on him when they met on May 31st. Brady sat on the sidelines for the Aces’ game against the Connecticut Sun, and Plum knew she had to make their interaction memorable.

“They were like … he sits in the Gucci row [courtside seats at the Michelob ULTRA Arena]. And I said, ‘Say less,'” Plum said during the post-game press conference.

As Plum walked out of the tunnel for the second half, she greeted Brady and then barked at him, citing his somber demeanor and competitive edge.

“I knocked on him, I hugged him tight. I was like man, you’re a dog, I love you, ‘woof, woof!’ He looked at me and was like ‘yes’ so we connected,” Plum said of Brady’s reaction to the gesture.

Plum’s game that year resulted in her first All-Star nod, where she received MVP honors after dropping 30 points. It tied former Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore with the most in an All-Star game in WNBA history.
