Tory Lanez’s Attorney Drops Him Over ‘Irreconcilable Differences’

Tory Lanez’s lawyer has dropped him in the middle of a legal battle with Love & Hip Hop star Prince.

According to court documents obtained by, attorney Christopher E. Ells asked the court for permission to retire, alleging that “irreconcilable differences” had arisen between him and his client. The lawyer claims that the problems “cannot be solved”.

Lanez was sued by (real name, Christopher Harty) over claims he was “verbally upset” and “attempted to engage” by the rapper at LIV nightclub [Prince] in a verbal confrontation.” He says Lanez then punched him in the face with a closed fist and that Lanez’s security took over and continued the beating.

Prince claims Lanez attacked him at another club a year later.

“Immediately after punching [Prince] in the face, [Tory’s] Employee/agent fled and attempted to enter [Tory’s] Vehicle. However, [Tory] yelled at the agent/employee and ordered him to leave the premises in a separate vehicle,” the suit reads.

Prince is seeking unspecified damages for alleged physical, psychological and spiritual distress “from blunt force trauma” to his neck, chest and back.
