A body was recovered yesterday afternoon in a wooded area in the Groby Pool area, north-west of the East Midlands city.

The formal identification is not yet complete, it is probably that of Ms. Kosilko.

A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of kidnapping has been arrested again on suspicion of murder.

While in police custody, the man was found lifeless in his cell on Wednesday morning and was pronounced dead despite the best efforts of detention staff.

Gabriela was last seen at a shop near where she works at 11.30pm on Thursday evening.

Her red Audi A1 was then found four miles away on another road at 4.20am the next day.

Officials are currently conducting water searches at a nearby lake.
