The Athletic reports that the Borussia Dortmund star Raphael Guerreiro, a target they have previously been linked with due to his ability to contribute high up on the pitch, has been escalated to Man City’s shortlist. The 28-year-old scored eight goals for BVB in 23 Bundesliga and Champions League games last season and also impressed at international level for Portugal.

Following Oleksandr Zinchenko’s move to Arsenal, City are expected to step up their transfer efforts next week in hopes of finding a replacement left-back before the start of the Premier League campaign on August 7.
