Travel writer Amanda Finnegan said she uses a clever trick to block the light while she’s away from home.

Amanda showed her fans how to use the alligator clips on a hotel hanger to hold the curtains together in her room.

This simple trick blocks all light that would normally penetrate through the tiny gap between the curtains.

Amanda said, “If you don’t know this hotel room hack, then you’re not as crazy about light loss as I am.”

Fellow travelers said they were blown away by Amanda’s clever tip.
