Triple H Gone At WWE SmackDown On Friday

The most recent episode of WWE SmackDown was quite eventful, as it marked the debut of a new line-up for the blue brand following the 2023 Draft. Additionally, SmackDown’s representation in the world heavyweight championship match was very to be expected at the Night of Champions has also been determined. However, despite all the excitement, there was a notable absence of a key figure behind the scenes.

Side news noted the special ending of the main event match of SmackDown between Bobby Lashley and AJ Styles. According to a production staff member who has worked with the company for a long time, Triple H, who is known for running the show backstage, was not present this week. When asked about his absence, the same staff member revealed that “Levesque is not on TV this week.” It was later clarified that his absence was due to “company commitments”.

Despite Triple H’s absence, the show still took place with two people in charge of running everything behind the scenes. The timing of the show was largely taken over by Bruce and Ed Koskey, but it is pointed out that ultimately the responsibility lies with Prichard.

This is the first time Triple H has missed any WWE TV shows since being appointed the company’s new Chief Content Officer. It remains to be seen whether he will miss any more TV weeks in the future.

Interestingly, Vince McMahon, WWE’s president and chief executive officer, is also absent from SmackDown this week. However, this is also not uncommon when he rarely participates in Blue brand’s televised live events.

Overall, while it’s clear there’s no Triple H, the series manages to deliver an entertaining and action-packed episode. Fans will no doubt be eager to see what the future holds for both SmackDown and WWE in general.
