Trump serves up chaotic ‘word salad’ about Biden sparking ‘World War II’ and running against Obama

In his recent faux pas-laden speech he said: Donald Trump seemed to imply the former president Barack Obama was running in 2024 when he warned about this “cognitively impaired” president Joe Biden could lead the country into “World War II” if he wins re-election.

While speaking at the Pray Vote Stand Summit in Washington DC on Friday, the former president said: “We have a man who is completely corrupt and the worst president in the history of our country, who is mentally impaired and incapable of “to take a lead.” and is now responsible for dealing with Russia and a possible nuclear war.”

“Just think about it. If we relied on this man, we would very quickly be in World War II, and that would be far more devastating than any war,” he continued, as dramatic music played in the background.

“If that happens, there will never be a war – there will never be a war like this. It will wipe out everything there is, everyone, it will wipe out every country.”

In the past, Mr. Trump has frequently said that Mr. Biden would lead the country into World War III, and that gaffe might have gone unnoticed had he not continued to stumble over his words and confuse his political opponents with one another.

The former president said he had beaten Mr Obama, the 44th president, in the 2024 election polls and then appeared to suggest he had beaten him in 2016, before correcting himself that his then-opponent had done so Hillary Clinton.

Commenters on X, formerly known as Twitter, were unimpressed and delighted by Mr Trump’s “word salad” of a speech.

Former NBCUniversal executive Mike Sington wrote: “Trump has lost his temper, showing how mentally impaired he is.” Watch as he rambles, stumbles over his words, fades out, then turns to reading the teleprompter, to save yourself and read it carefully. And he still misspeaks.”

MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan tweeted: “77-year-old Trump was so confused and incoherent last night that he suggested that Obama was his opponent in 2024, and that he also suggested that he would beat Obama in 2016, and seemed to think we were on the brink of a world war.” *2*.”

He added: “I can only imagine the headlines if 80-year-old Biden had said that.”

Former Trump White House staffer, now co-host of The view, Alyssa Farah Griffin, wrote: “I have openly expressed my concerns about Biden’s age. But to be consistent: This is a word salad mess. Trump seems confused about who he was running against in ’16. He’s only three years younger than Biden.”

“America deserves better,” she concluded.

At a separate event on Friday, the former president also repeated the bizarre claim that Americans must show ID to buy a loaf of bread.
